STM - Society in motion

At the STM, we see far ahead and we see big! Public transportation means more to us than just environmental mobility; above all, it’s a sustainable development project for our city. Our goal is to make mobility easier and greener, and to make breathing easier too.

We are committed to improving the quality of our services and to increasing their frequency, so that more and more of you join us in this grassroots movement, known as Society in Motion.

It’s the STM’s commitment to you.

With this website, you are given the opportunity to express your opinion about the new direction taken by the STM through its major projects and its small green actions.

Our big actions? They are designed to speed up your travel times and to make your life easier. This means increasing the frequency of service, introducing new metro cars into service, modernizing and expanding our bus fleet, laying out new reserved lanes and more.

As for our small actions, such as smart driving, running our buses on biodiesel, retreading tires and recovering waste water, they lead to a greater environmental awareness and greater respect for our planet, one green action at a time.

On the homepage, please note that major projects are those with red flowers, while small actions are those with green and yellow flowers.
